1: Changing Shape Colour



Go on the Materials Tab and press the colour wheel button










2: Rotating The View Of The Modle



Mouse Users
Press and hold the scroll button and click the screen to move the view




Non-Mouse Users

Go to File and click User Preferences. Go to the Input tab and check Emulate 3 Button Mouse.

When that is set, click the screen while holding ALT to move the view.








Number Pad Users
Some numbers on the number pad show the model from specific views.

3: Changing The View Focus


Click with the rotate button (Scroll/Alt+Left Click) while holding Shift. Doing so allows you to move the focus of the view to anywhere in the space.



To change the focus of specific objects, you select them and press the Period button on the number pad.




4: Inserting Different Shapes

You can insert different shapes by pressing Shift+A then going in the Mesh section.



5: Quick Select Control Panel

If you press space, you can bring up a panel that allows you to search for different actions to which it will tell you the shortcut for them. If you press any of them, it would automatically perform the action. This is more of a global shortcut for all actions in the program.





6: Add A Smoke/Fire Effect To An Object


Add the Quick Smoke feature to an object and then play the animation.




To change it to fire, you select the object and change the smoke type.
